Being overweight or obese is one of the major health hazards facing us today. According to figures from the National Audit Office in the UK, being obese can take up to nine years off your life. It also makes you far more likely to develop a range of health related problems.

There are a number of ways to work out if your weight is putting your health at risk. Two of the most popular and reliable indicators are your Body Mass Index (BMI) and your waist measurement.
